Yes, I know. It was unforgivable. Truly treacherous. They clearly did not even know who you really are. They did not see you let alone feel you. How could they do that to you?

You would never have done that to them.

The betrayal, the cruelty, the utter sneaky lying horror with all its twists. The ordeal.

But it’s over now. Right? They’ve gone and your paths are unlikely to cross. They are off somewhere with your canoe and retro leather jacket and maybe even your boyfriend/wife/truck/house.

The only thing you have now is your little blackened heart.

You have to forgive yourself for being so stupid. Not seeing the red flags or ignoring them, or waving your white one way too often and letting the whole thing get so out of hand. You have to forgive them for being un-evolved and self-involved and basically cut the whole situation some slack.

Forgive them for they know not what they do.

Jesus apparently said the above while on the cross. Crucified. People who report near-death experiences say they get to feel all their deeds from the other person’s point of view. In technicolor.
