None of us get out of here alive.

Live with death in mind. We are here for a short time and, with the wisdom of choice, a good time. But being too careful is a curse. Playing it safe is the most dangerous game of all. Watching your P’s and Q’s. Saving for a rainy day. Seeking only comfort and security. Trying to avoid getting hurt and bruised and missing out on the party.

We are taught to swerve by pain and avoid excess — but what is wrong with feeling deeply — hurting, grieving, regret? What is wrong with ecstasy, exuberance, and giddy joy?

We are here on earth in this realm to feel. Feel it all in technicolor the ugly and the divine. We’re here to encounter the highs and lows of being an earth-bound creature. Let us not anchor ourselves to the mundane via the telly and playing golf, let’s not limit our flights of fancy to politically correct behavior and stifling politeness. Let’s not clip our wings.

Let’s roar out loud how we feel and what we think let us throw ourselves to the wind and live madly as if we might die tomorrow.

What is the cost? What are you sacrificing of yourself, for yourself?

What does it matter really? If you chuck in your job to become a struggling artist. What do you lose really…
